SCORE provides free professional management assistance to businesses and entrepreneurs in Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties. It is a non-profit volunteer association of business people and professionals sponsored in part by the U.S. Small Business Administration. SCORE has over 50 counselors varying in ages, gender and race with a wide variety of business skills to help individuals start businesses, improve profitability, find funding, and/or help businesses navigate through difficult periods. SCORE counselors conduct bi-monthly seminars covering business planning, financing, legal, and marketing planning at nominal cost. SCORE is also responsible for BIC (Business Information Center) which is located at our North Charleston Office.
