Credit Card Merchants

If you are interested in accepting credit cards from your customers you begin by contacting your bank’s Merchant Bankcard Services which will show you what options you have through them. You can also check the yellow pages under “Credit Cards – Equipment & Supplies” for private companies that perform this service. Another option is the Merchant Services offered by Sam’s Club and COSCO. Many sales are lost each year by small retailers who do not accept credit cards because they have few transactions. If you will be accepting a minimal number of credit cards per week, you may want to check into using the services of PayPal at www.paypal.com, Google Checkout at http://checkout.google.com/sell or you can do a search for ‘online merchant services’ to see other options.
